What is the Graduate Visa?

The Graduate Visa allows international students who have successfully completed a degree at a UK higher education provider to stay and work (or look for work) in the UK for up to 2 years after completing their studies (3 years for PhD graduates). No sponsorship is required and you can work at any skill level.

Key Requirements

Completed UK degree — You must have successfully completed a course at undergraduate level or above at a licensed Student sponsor.

Current Student visa — You must hold a valid Student visa (or Tier 4) at the time of application.

Apply from within the UK — Applications can only be made from inside the UK.

Application fee — £937 plus Immigration Health Surcharge of £1,035 per year.

After the Graduate Visa

The Graduate Visa cannot be extended, but you can switch to another visa route such as the Skilled Worker Visa if you find eligible employment with a licensed sponsor.
