eVisas, NTL & Status Documents

Advice on digital immigration records, confirmation of existing settlement and the documents needed to demonstrate your status.

Digital status support

Advice on accessing and using an eVisa, account issues and correcting inaccurate records.

Existing status and documents

Assessment of No Time Limit applications, older proof of settlement and appropriate document services.

Start with your actual immigration position

We distinguish evidence of existing permission from an application for new permission. An account update or document application does not, by itself, extend a visa or grant settlement.

Our advice begins with your previous decisions, existing records and the issue you need to resolve.

Process and Procedure

We identify whether you need an account update, an error report, confirmation of existing status or a separate application.

  1. Review the records

Assess existing documents, earlier decisions and the current problem.

  2. Identify the correct process

Advise on the appropriate service and any underlying immigration issue.

  3. Prepare and assist

Help present relevant information and complete the appropriate application or request.

  4. Check the outcome

Review the updated record or decision and explain any further steps needed.

eVisas and UKVI Accounts

Access and proof of status

An eVisa is a digital record of immigration status and its conditions. We can assist with access issues and explain how the record is used to demonstrate your rights.

Changes and errors

Updating passport or contact details is different from reporting an incorrect status or personal detail. We assess the issue and help use the appropriate process.

If the digital record does not match your decision, we review the underlying permission before advising on a correction or another available remedy.

No Time Limit Applications

Confirm existing settlement

A No Time Limit application can provide digital confirmation of existing indefinite leave where the relevant conditions are met. It is not a new application to qualify for settlement.

Older documents and missing records

We review passport endorsements, historic grants and any gaps in proof, including whether the underlying status remains valid.

People who already have an eVisa or EU Settlement Scheme status generally need a different process. We assess the correct option before recommending NTL.

Where an absence may have affected settlement, we can review the Returning Resident position separately.

Travel and Other Documents

Home Office travel documents

Advice on appropriate refugee or stateless travel documents and certificates of travel for eligible applicants.

Proof of other rights

We assess whether an issue concerns nationality, right of abode, existing settlement or another form of permission.

Choose the appropriate document

A Home Office travel document has its own eligibility and does not replace the need for immigration permission. We review your status and circumstances before advising.

Problems and Next Steps

Upcoming travel, work or housing

Let us know about any relevant deadline when seeking help. We assess the issue and the appropriate route for raising it, without promising an immediate technical resolution.

Separate immigration applications

If the issue concerns expired permission, a refused application or a change of route, a document request alone may not resolve it. We advise on the underlying matter and relevant next steps.

Family members

Each person’s status and records need to be considered individually. Updating one family member’s account does not update everyone else’s permission.
